How is an Inner Thigh Lift performed?"
The inner thigh lift procedure (medial thigh lift) is performed with incisions in the groin creases. Excess fat is removed with lipoplasty (liposuction), and the excess skin is trimmed and redraped. Connections of the skin to the underlying muscles are released to allow elevation, tightening, and trimming of excess skin. The medial thigh lift procedure takes between two and three hours, and is performed in a fully accredited surgical center on an outpatient basis.
A compressive garment is worn for two weeks following surgery. Small drain tubes are placed during surgery, and will be removed between the third and seventh day. With few exceptions, all sutures placed are dissolvable and no suture removal is usually necessary. Recovery time following medial thigh lift is about one to two weeks.
